PAWS Presidential Report:
- We are officially open! (Unofficial date was March 2025). The grand opening and open house on November 6th were a huge success – over 85 attended, which shows a lot of interest in what we are doing.
- Over 286 animals have been adopted or fostered since March 2025 – all spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. And we do help with shipping animals out of county and state – spread the news!
- Volunteers are needed – we fill our shelter to maximum capacity which is a lot for Tina and Jennifer to handle. With a steady stream of volunteers and additional funding, we might be able to increase capacity. Please call the shelter
at 903-588-3030 for more information. - Our board is working diligently, finding generous donors and money to make sure the shelter continues to serve the City of Mt Vernon and Franklin County. Please check the Leave A Legacy link above for other creative ways you can donate.
- We want to thank all the people that volunteered money, time, and sweat to
get the shelter up and running! We hope you continue to support the shelter especially this holiday season.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you ALL!
Mac Glaess, Board President
